Director, Nursing-Intermediate Care Unit   , Full-Time, Days

We are looking for a Director, Nursing-Intermediate Care Unit to join out team in Albuquerque, NM.
 

  This full time job is located at Lovelace Medical Center , in the heart of Albuquerque, is an acute care hospital providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, cardiology, stroke care, radiology and oncology services, including the state’s only Gamma Knife Center for non-invasive radiologic brain surgery.

Director, Nursing-Intermediate Care Unit Responsibilities:
 

  • Directs and administers strategic,  operational, fiscal and personnel activities for assigned nursing department(s) in accordance with established regulatory agencies. 
  • Prepares and manages budgets, manages/supervises staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations. 
  • Manages clinical operations and development for assigned area(s) with measureable improvements in clinical outcomes and customer patient satisfaction.
  • Represents the organization and/or department at various community and/or business meetings; promotes existing or new services; serves as liaison and develops and maintains business relationships.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. 

Director, Nursing-Intermediate Care Unit Education and Experiences job Requirements: 

  • Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for one another in accordance to policy .
  • Desired: Masters Degree
  • Five (5) years relevant clinical experience of which three (3) years must have been in a management capacity.Revelant education and/or experience may be subsituted in accordance to policy.
  • Licensure: Minimum: Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire) 
  • Current CPR Certified
